I am a seascape artist and oil painter living and working in beautiful Montauk, New York. My passion for the sea and nature has always been an inspiration for my work. Growing up, I spent countless hours at the beach, observing the waves, and feeling the motion of the ocean.
I studied art at Adelphi University, where I developed my skills in painting and gained the knowledge to convey my passion for the natural world onto the canvas. With oceanic themes as my primary subject matter, I create seascapes that capture the subtle movement and changing light of the ocean, and I focus on the texture and color variations that occur with the changing wind and weather conditions.
Living in Montauk has been a significant influence on my creative approach. The rugged coastline, the dramatic sunsets, and the vibrant energy of the ocean inspire me every day. I am enchanted by the ever-changing movement of the waves and the sophisticated play of sun and fog on the vast expanse of the sea.
I use oil as my preferred medium because of its versatility and flexibility. With oils, I work in layers, adding subtleties of color and texture that capture the essence of the sea and bring my paintings to life. Nothing makes me happier than the organic feel of a painting, where what is on the canvas reflects the beauty and unpredictability of the sea.
My paintings reflect my passion for the sea and my love for the natural world. I strive to create a sense of serenity and calmness in the mind of the viewer, drawing them into the world of art and allowing them to escape the hectic and busy state of our modern world.
I am so grateful to live and work in Montauk, surrounded by natural beauty and inspiration. My art has been featured in exhibits, galleries, and private collections throughout the country, and I am proud to have brought the essence of the sea to the lives of people everywhere.
